Safe and Secure Dementia Care
The specially designed Spectrum Program at The Herrick House is a 14 apartment, specialized care program in our assisted living community that promotes a safe and secure environment for residents who suffer from cognitive impairment. This includes residents who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia. Residents enjoy their own private apartments which are the same spacious one-bedroom apartments found in the traditional living residence. Each resident’s apartment has a full bath and kitchenette. Our enhanced services include 24 hour nursing, personal care assistance, medication management, personal laundry, housekeeping and more. Three meals a day are served family style in a warm country kitchen. There is a comfortable parlor for socializing and activities, and a lovely, secure outdoor courtyard ideal for relaxation, recreation and exercise. The 24 hour licensed nursing staff work together with the Director of the Spectrum residence to develop personalized care plans tailored for each individual. The Spectrum residence provides the benefit of maintaining independence while living among peers in a safe and secure environment.
