Housekeeping & Maintenance

For many people, housekeeping and maintenance services are among the best senior housing amenities. At The Herrick House, we thoroughly clean your apartment each week. And we pick up your trash and make your beds daily. We also provide:

• Dry cleaning and laundry services.
• Linens for single-sized beds.
• Two sets of fresh towels weekly.
• Weekly laundering of bed linens.

Here, you don’t have to worry about lawn care, sidewalk maintenance or home repairs, either. Our friendly staff has it covered. That means you have more time for fun and relaxation.

Communication, Entertainment & Technology

For your convenience, we deliver your mail directly to your apartment.

You can take advantage of complimentary cable access and optional telephone service. Flat-screen televisions are offered throughout the residence. Complimentary Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the community, as well.

We offer a wide variety of classes and events to appeal to the full range of our residents’ interests. You also can join our educational, spiritual and wellness programs.

VoiceFriend System

At The Herrick House, we use a communication service for residents and their families that sends recorded messages with timely information directly to each resident’s phone. Messages include reminders about special events and entertainment, as well as activities of specific interest to the resident, such as exercise class and outings.

Wireless Emergency Response System

As a resident of The Herrick House, you have a state-of-the-art wireless emergency response system. You can activate it from a pull station in your bathroom or a wrist or pendant device you wear. The system alerts our nursing and resident care staff that you need help and summons them to your side.

Dining Services

Chefs in our dining services prepare three daily meals that taste good and are good for you. They’re served restaurant-style in our beautiful dining rooms.

Transportation Services

Regularly scheduled van transportation means you can leave the driving to us. You may use it for outings to your favorite lunch spot, trips to the movies or an afternoon at a local museum. Our van is convenient for medical appointments and shopping trips, as well. If you use a wheelchair or require an escort, it’s no problem. Our full-time driver is specially trained to assist you.  

In addition, you can privately schedule The Herrick House car for appointments.

Spa Services

The Mane Event — When you need a little pampering, turn to The Mane Event. This full-service salon is on-site and available to men and women. Our professionally trained stylist can provide you with a classic look or the newest styles, cuts, colors and permanents. Manicures are available, as well. 

Eldergrow Gardening Program
