What is Memory Care?
Memory care is designed to assist people dealing with memory problems and other cognitive issues. It may be helpful when someone you care about has trouble learning or remembering things, concentrating or making daily decisions needed to get through life.
Our specially trained caregivers build close relationships with each resident. We monitor them around the clock and offer assistance with all activities of daily living. These activities might include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and incontinence care.
Our services are available to people seeking long-term care as well as those who require only respite care, or a short-term stay. Respite care is ideal during times when you’re unavailable to tend to your loved one’s needs, or when you just need a short break.
The Benefits of Assisted Living & Memory Care
At The Herrick House, you and your loved one will enjoy all the benefits that come with assisted living, in addition to memory care. We offer private apartments as well as secure indoor common areas. Housekeeping, linens, towels and personal laundry services are provided. Plus, your loved one will have access to three delicious and nutritious meals each day in a special dining room reserved for memory care residents.
Licensed nursing staff and resident care aides are on-site 24 hours a day offering medication management and medical services, in addition to Alzheimer’s care. Additional medical services are available, if needed, just next door at Beverly Hospital. A full array of senior services, including social, spiritual and wellness programs focused on enhancing quality of life are available, as well.
